We select the most appropriate method of sale for each project, depending on the number of items for sale, the time frame, and the degree of equipment specialization.
In online auctions all bids are placed online, via a web browser using a secure connection to www.Go-Dove.com.
This is our most popular method of sale with over 1500 online auctions conducted by us during 2007. With online auctions, the potential buying audience gets plenty of notice of upcoming events, can view comprehensive information about the lots including photos, ask sellers questions about the equipment and place bids once the auction has started.Find out more
Live auctions are conducted on site or at a local venue. They are staged to create a competitive bidding environment to maximize realization.
Webcasts transform a live auction into a worldwide event by introducing interactive bidding via the Internet, through our secure, proprietary Webcast technology. Bidders can participate in real-time from their desks, viewing asset descriptions and photos and making pricing decisions based upon the dynamics of the live bidding. It’s as good as being there.Find out more
Equipment Markets are regularly scheduled online auctions, focused on specific industry sectors or asset classes. Each Equipment Market contains surplus assets from multiple sellers, providing would-be buyers with a continuous supply of high-quality surplus equipment – the majority of which comes from multi-national industrial companies. A single Equipment Market may well feature assets from all over the world, providing both sellers and buyers with access to a truly global online industrial marketplace.
Sale by Private Treaty is an important transaction mechanism in our business because it provides a simple and direct way for a company to liquidate its assets fast. A Private Treaty is a negotiated sale where the price agreed between the seller and the buyer is binding. Fixed Date Private Treaty sales have a defined end date to the sale, whereas a simple Private Treaty does not.
There is also the Sealed Bid sale format, whereby potential buyers are asked to submit their bids at a pre-defined time. We conduct each of these Private Treaty sale formats on behalf of our clients and feature them on our website in the same way as our online auctions with full details of each item, including photos, available to potential buyers. We also have a dedicated Private Treaty team that deals with all enquiries and negotiations, facilitating rapid movement of these assets for our clients. Items that do not sell by Private Treaty may be featured in subsequent online auctions.
