Thomas B. Burton - EVP and President, Capital Assets Group

Thomas B. Burton leads Liquidity Services’ Capital Assets Group which provides surplus asset management and investment recovery services to organizations with extensive capital investments in equipment and machinery.

From 2001 through the formation of the Capital Assets Group, Mr. Burton served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Government Liquidation, LLC, our wholly-owned subsidiary, which was established to privatize the sale of DoD surplus property in partnership with the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service under the Commercial Venture (CV) and Scrap (SV) programs.

Mr. Burton served as Liquidity Services’ Director of Government Surplus from September 2000 through May 2001. Prior to joining our company in September 2000, Mr. Burton served as the Western Region Director of EG&G Technical Services, a government contractor, from August 1990 to September 2000. Mr. Burton holds a B.S. from Cameron University and is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Certified Appraisers Guild of America.

Holger Schwarz - EVP and COO International, Capital Assets Group, Liquidity Services, Inc.

Holger Schwarz is responsible for overseeing the direction and the management of international business in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia/Pacific region.

Holger Schwarz has served as Executive Vice President, Europe, for Liquidity Services since 2004. In this role he has been General Manager and Managing Director of subsidiaries in the UK and Germany. Prior to this role, he served as General Manager of Liquidity Services’ Central/North/Eastern Europe business unit from January 2001 to April 2004.

Before joining Liquidity Services, Holger Schwarz worked from 1990 to 2000 with Phillips N.V. Consumer Electronics. During his tenure, he held various positions within Sales and Marketing, serving in his last position as Marketing Director for Philips Northern Europe. Holger Schwarz graduated from FSBH Dresden with a Master’s degree (FH) in business economics in 1987. He is married with two children.


Nick Taylor - Managing Director, Europe

Nick Taylor - Managing Director, Europe

Nick Taylor is Managing Director, Europe, based in the headquarters for Europe in London. In this role, Nick is responsible for the business in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Scandinavia, and Iberia. Along with his management team, they focus on business generation, and overall operations for all auctions, corporate services and valuations across Europe. During his time with the company, Nick has been involved in many high profile auctions such as, the Millennium Dome venue in London, UK; and Nortel’s global asset reduction programme, which had an asset value of over $50 million, covering six countries.

Nick joined Henry Butcher & Co. as a graduate trainee in 1989. Over the years, he has held various roles within the organisation including sales, project management and operations. During this time, he has built up expertise across several industries - from engineering to electronics - and across territories, from the Philippines to the US. In 1999, Nick became President and CEO of Henry Butcher USA. When GoIndustry acquired the business two years later, Nick returned to the UK to manage European operations, as part of the Global Management team.

Nick graduated from Bath University, with a BFC Honours in Economic and Politics.


Glenn Bishop - Chief Technology Officer

Glenn Bishop - Chief Technology Officer

Glenn Bishop is GoIndustry DoveBid’s Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for the products and services, which are at the heart of the company’s commercial operation. With his global team, Glenn is ensures the company leverages the latest technology to create the most effective and intuitive user experience for buyers and sellers. He is also responsible for the management of internal business systems, and the development of new tools to help clients manage their assets.

Since Glenn joined the company in March 2009, he has led the launch of the company’s upgraded website, has released enhanced versions of Asset Zone – the industry-leading asset redeployment tool - and has significantly raised the company’s online profile.

With over 23 years of experience defining and overseeing business operations, Glenn served as Head of Development at Multimap (acquired by Microsoft); as Senior Director of Engineering at Yahoo! Europe; and as Vice President of Engineering at Vallent Software Systems & Riversoft Ltd (both subsequently acquired by IBM); along with several other technology related positions, from start-ups to mature businesses.

Glenn graduated with 1st Class Bachelor of Science Honours degree, in Electronic & Communication Engineering, from the University of Birmingham.


Bruce Gearey - Executive Vice President, Americas Capital Assets Group

Bruce Gearey - Executive Vice President, Americas Capital Assets Group

Bruce Gearey is Executive Vice President, Americas Capital Assets Group. In this position, he is responsible for operations for the auction management for disposition services for leading Fortune 1000 organizations, as well as managing personnel in 300 sites across the U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, and Puerto Rico, where Liquidity Services has installed operations to manage the flow of surplus inventory through its exclusive contract with the Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services for the sale of surplus and scrap assets of the United States Department of Defense (DOD). He is also charged with managing sales, budgeting, and logistics for this contractual effort which has successfully deterred more than 2 billion pounds of scrap material from landfills since its inception, the largest zero-waste initiative in Federal government history.

Before joining Liquidity Services in 1998, Mr. Gearey was a Naval Officer specializing in logistics support. In his last position with the Navy, he was the Supply Operations and Management Officer with Atlantic Fleet in their Norfolk, Virginia headquarters where he was responsible for all aspects of the Navy’s spare parts and program management, as well as logistics and support for the inventory systems of 250 Atlantic Fleet ships, submarines, and aircraft carriers. He has more than 25 years of experience in operations, logistics, and inventory management at all levels.

Mr. Gearey is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and also holds an M.S. in Material Logistics and Systems Inventory Management from Naval Postgraduate School, and an M.A. in International Strategic Studies from the Naval Command and Staff College.

Michael Livatino is Senior Vice President Client Services, Americas, at Liquidity Services Inc. for their award-winning marketplaces, Government Liquidation and GoIndustry DoveBid. Since commencing his time at Liquidity Services in 2004, Mr. Livatino has delivered consistent success for its clients. His multi-vertical industry expertise and unique understanding of solution-focused disposition processes has enabled Liquidity Services’ clients to obtain more robust and financially-rewarding sustainability initiatives, improving their internal investment recovery operational capacity, and increasing revenue on the sale of their surplus assets and scrap material.

Under his leadership, the GoIndustry DoveBid team is gaining new insight into the company’s comprehensive global services capabilities and driving a “client-first” focus that will continue to deliver long term success and value.

Mr. Livatino was the past President of Asset Control Corp., a Textron Company specializing in global asset sales disposition and valuation services. He also actively contributes to charity through the Wounded Warriors Project, which helps injured service members.


Bob Francis - Vice President Global Marketing

Bob Francis - Vice President Global Marketing

Bob Francis is the Vice President of Marketing where he leads the marketing programs for Liquidity Services’ Capital Assets Group headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. This group includes Government Liquidation, TruckCenter.com, Network International, and GoIndustry DoveBid marketplaces. Through these marketplaces, the Capital Assets Group is leading the way in managing and valuating surplus assets for Fortune 1000 corporations and medium and large-sized enterprises and organizations.

Bob has 25 years of marketing and media experience, most recently as a member of the executive team and Vice President of Marketing at Meridium, a software and services company focused on the asset reliability and asset management space. Prior to joining Meridium, Bob directed and managed marketing for Aspen Technology and other software and technology organizations focused on improving manufacturing processes and plant safety.

Bob has served on a variety of industry association committees, including American Fuels & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) and Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA). He has an MBA from LeTourneau University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from California Polytechnic State University, as well as an Associate of Arts in Graphic Design from Cuesta College.


Dan Brady - Vice President of Finance, Capital Assets Group

Dan Brady - Vice President of Finance, Capital Assets Group

Dan Brady is Vice President of Finance for Liquidity Services Inc.’s Capital Assets Group, where he provides leadership and coordination of financial planning and analysis, and ensures company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. In addition to his day-to-day responsibilities and supervision of staff, he participates in long-term business planning for optimal financial performance while ensuring compliance with local, state, and national reporting requirements.

Prior to joining Liquidity Services in 2013, Mr. Brady spent 19 years with Kraft Foods where his career progressed to various Director level roles, including: Director of Global Business Analysis and Director of Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk Management. Over the course of his career with the Fortune 50 consumer packaged goods company, he won numerous awards for his leadership in strategic planning, supply chain finance, and revenue growth.

Mr. Brady holds an MBA in Corporate Finance & Business Economics from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. He is also a CPA and taught accountancy coursework at Kean College of New Jersey, IUPUI and Ivy Tech Community College. Mr. Brady was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bolivia from 1990 to 1992.


Gardner Dudley - Vice President and General Manager of Network International

Gardner Dudley is Vice President and General Manager for Network International, a Liquidity Services marketplace. Mr. Dudley joined Network International in January 2000, shortly after it was founded. He has held a number of positions with the company including corporate development associate, manager of the company’s Oiltizer division, and Vice President of Operations & Technology and Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining Network International, Mr. Dudley worked in the Investment Banking and Corporate Finance Department at Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Dudley holds a Bachelor of Arts in the Plan II Honors Program and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.


John McCombs - Vice President & General Manager of TruckCenter.com

John McCombs - Vice President & General Manager of TruckCenter.com

John McCombs is the Vice President and General Manager of TruckCenter, where he is charged with leading this top online auction marketplace for fleet and transportation equipment, serving Fortune 1000 companies and retailers. With five storage and facility locations across the U.S., TruckCenter provides comprehensive vehicle surplus solutions for transportation assets to its buyers and sellers.

Mr. McCombs has a background in online marketing and supply chain management having worked with Liquidity Services since 2001. He most recently served as the Vice President of Marketing for Government Liquidation, a leading Liquidity Services’ marketplace and the exclusive reseller of surplus and scrap material for the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency. He had also served as Vice President of Western Operations and Regional Manager for Government Liquidation.

Mr. McCombs graduated from West Point in 1987 and served active duty until 1996 before moving into the private sector. He retired from the National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2007 as a decorated combat veteran from the Persian Gulf War. Mr. McCombs received his MBA from the University of Minnesota in 1998.
